
From 1985 until 2000, Mr. Slovin was the President and a director of MacAndrews & Forbes Holdings Inc. and Revlon Group, Inc. Mr. Slovin is a director of M&F Worldwide Corp. (NYSE: MFW) and Cantel Medical Corp. (NYSE: CMN). He earned his B.A. in Economics from Cornell University in 1957 and attended the Columbia University School of Business. Mr. Slovin also received a J.D. in Corporate Law and Taxation from Harvard Law School. He has been actively investing in real estate since 1991.

One of three initial equity investors in M West Holdings in 1991, Mr. Slovin took control of day-to-day management in 2003. Prior to that Mr. Slovin’s company, Sparrow Realty successfully redeveloped multi-family real estate in Los Angeles. After achieving 200% return of Sparrow’s initial equity investment, Slovin closed the company in 2003 in order to expand the M West Holdings acquisitions nationwide and to create a professional asset management organization. As President of M West, Mr. Slovin oversees acquisitions, dispositions, asset management, financings, marketing, leasing, and banking relationships and legal matters pertaining to the company's portfolio as well as its daily operations. Mr. Slovin is a graduate of Wesleyan University.


Mr. Ellis has an extensive background in both Real Estate Lending and Structured Finance. Matthew’s most recent position was Vice President of Originations for Wachovia Securities at the Los Angeles office, where he worked for 7 years. During his tenure at Wachovia, Matthew originated, structured, underwrote and closed debt and equity transactions at all levels of the capital stack and across all property types totaling over $4 Billion. Matthew received two Bachelor degrees and his Masters in Economics and Finance at the University of North Carolina, Charlotte.

Mr. Paulson has recently been added to the firm as an Asset Manager. Prior to joining M West, Mr. Paulson was an Asset Manager with American Realty Advisors and Domino Realty Management, a Beverly Hills based private equity firm, and Trammell Crow Company. At M West, he is responsible for leading the property management & leasing teams and analyzing overall performance of the portfolio. Mr. Paulson is a 1998 graduate of UC Santa Barbara and received his MBA from Loyola Marymount University in 2004.


From 1999 to 2007, Mr. Gulick served as Vice President of Finance at Countrywide Bank. Prior to his time with Countrywide, Mr. Gulick held financial management positions at major developers such as the Anden Group and Calmark Properties. As a Certified Public Accountant, with experience in all facets of finance, he brings a unique combination of skills to the management team. Mr. Gulick holds a B.S. in Business Administration with an Accounting specialization from California State University, Northridge and has been a licensed CPA since 1986.

As Corporate Accountant of West Coast Investments from 2003 to 2007, Mrs. Marlene Reyes was responsible for the preparation of the company’s financial statements & tenant leases for shopping centers and luxury apartments in Nevada and California. Previous to her employment with M West Holdings, she joined Fields Investments as Property Accountant with a focus on expense reconciliations for multiple office buildings in Texas and Florida. She earned her B.S. degree in Business Administration, Accounting in 1989 and acquired her Real Estate Brokers license in the Philippines.


Ms. Sells is a recent graduate of the University of Southern California, where she obtained her B.S. in Public Policy, Planning and Development with an emphasis in Real Estate Development. Through college, she gained experience in the legal bankruptcy administration field and served as a commercial real estate salesperson of the central Los Angeles area for a total of three years. At M West, she serves as the assistant to President and as the office manager, providing secondary oversight to the daily office operations in addition to handling all property administration.
